PTI was founded as Pinnacle Telecommunications in 1984 by Barbara Winters, and has evolved into a recognized leader in telecommunications infrastructure services. Incorporated as Pinnacle Telecommunications, Inc. in 1993, PTI is a California-based, privately held WBENC and TL9000 Certified company holding B, C7, C10 (General Construction, Low Voltage/Structured Wire, Electrical) California contracting licenses.

We place a high value on job creation and professional growth, and provide on-site training programs to help build the skills and knowledge that allow our employees to excel. PTI created its own PTIS © Training Program to encourage career building and longevity within the company. We invest in growing our employees’ capabilities to ensure our professionals maintain the proficiency needed for the industry’s changing technologies.

The personal Safety and Health of each employee of this company is of primary importance. The prevention of occupationally induced injuries and illnesses is of such consequence that it will be given precedence over operating productivity. To the greatest degree possible, management will ensure that all mechanical and physical facilities are in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) standards and in compliance with consensus standards relating to the construction trades.

It is our goal to maintain a Safety and Health Program that conforms to the best practices within the construction industry. Only through such a cooperative effort can a safety record in the best interest of all be established and preserved.

Our objective is a safety and health program that will reduce the number of disabling injuries and illnesses to a minimum, not only in keeping with, but surpassing the experience of other operations similar to ours, thereby reducing the cost of insurance and making our company more competitive in the job market. PTI’s wellness programs include monthly challenges and incentives for healthy lifestyle alternatives, such as medical benefit discounts for non-tobacco users and smoking cessation programs.

PTI embraces a culture of Quality to ensure every job we do has quality built in up front. Our QMS is our platform for measuring performance and continuous improvement. We have created innovative Quality Programs such as 4-3-2-1-Zero ©, a quality initiative to create a defect-free product that helps each employee understand his/her contribution to a job well done, from a level 1 tech to the CEO. We have been TL9000 and ISO 9001:2008 registered since 200X and are proud of our reputation for quality and excellence in the telecommunications industry.

PTI, along with six global companies including Ericsson, Huawei and British Telecom, participate in an ISO/TL9000 Sustainability Initiative that led to the QuEST Forum establishing its Sustainability Standards Group and working collaboratively with global Information and Communication Technology (ICT) companies to establish sustainability best practices and benchmarking metrics within the telecom industry. The forum meets weekly to share best practices and discuss the team’s strategy on publishing the sustainability message throughout the ICT industry.

PTI has incorporated sustainability metrics into its QMS (Quality Management System) goals. PTI is committed to reducing landfill waste by instituting recycling programs for paper, cardboard, metal, cable, wood, e-waste, bottles and cans. PTI tracks recycling and re-use partner certifications. We also reuse packaging and cardboard boxes when shipping material to installation sites.

We have taken measures to reduce our carbon footprint by actively hiring W-2 professionals within our operating territories to minimize travel and commute times and encourage our employees to carpool. We also combine deliveries within specific areas in effort to avoid multiple trips. As part of PTI’s requisite defensible driver training, employees are trained on vehicle idling, drive speed and timely maintenance for fleet and personal vehicles.

PTI actively conserves energy. The corporate facility located in McClellan, CA has installed florescent lighting and sensor activated light switches in all offices as well as timed lighting in the main office and warehouse area. All PTI office locations are set up with shared printers to reduce the number of desk printers being used. All computers are Energy Star certified and set to go into hibernation mode within 15 minutes of no use. Filtered drinking water is provided to employees to encourage them to use reusable containers reducing disposable cups and plastic water bottles.

PTI is committed to using our business resources to benefit local communities.
Since 2008, members of our team have actively participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to raise money for the fight against breast cancer as well as annual head shaving in support of St. Baldrick’s research for childhood cancer. PTI also champions a Holiday fundraiser annually, whether it’s a food or toy drive, or a cash donation, and provides lunch weekly for the Mustard Seed School, a privately funded private school in Sacramento for homeless children.

PTI created an internal Volunteer Services program to allow employees to take time during the work day to volunteer at the charity of their choice. PTI CEO Cecelia Sullivan dedicates much of her own time to her community, currently serving on the Board of Quest Forum and previously serving on the Boards of the American Cancer Society Partnership Council and Keaton Raphael Memorial. Ms. Sullivan is a past Board President of Sacramento Cottage Housing and a former Board member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).

PTI also works with Peace for Families, Youth Team Scholarship, Special Olympics, and the American Cancer Society. Additionally, PTI has implemented an internal Community Service Program that encourages individual employees to engage in local non-profit volunteer work.
